perfect the chip shot

two quick tips for you to try!
1) when chipping from around the green make sure you stand with a slightly open stance (aiming to the left) with feet and hips, this will put the body in an impact position and give you more room to swing the club freely.

2) when taking your stance the feet should be fairly close together (within shoulder width), though your weight should favour your front foot (left foot for a right handed player), i would suggest 70-30 in favour of the front foot, this will allow you to create a steeper angle of attack and a more consistent strike down on the back of the ball resulting in a more controlled shot and more consistency in your chipping.

give it a go and feel free to let me know how you get on by leaving your comments below.
